The flaw in your argument is that Griffey went to Cincinnati and people stopped caring, so this can't possibly be true.

Better legacy and and better champion? Absolutely. Better PLAYER? Absolutely not

Yeah, I don't really have a problem with that.
Jeter was never a great as a healthy Junior...but there is something to be said for longevity.
I also think Junior was an overrated fielder as well...not a poor one by any means though. He made everything look good/smooth, but he was nowhere near the caliber of defender as someone like Andruw Jones.
