Yes while I agree that Africans mainly West Africans did sell their won into slavery. Many actually fought against it. Central Africans were the most rebellious. Most were captured as slaves. And not only that but Central Africans were the most slaves taken to the New World.But that's another topic.

I think most black's in the diaspora are comfortable staying where they are. AA's and Afro-Brazilians alone are 40,000,000+ in numbers. They can't take everyone. And lets not forget culture barriers...

Man people are so passionate about this discussion...who cares? IMO they weren't "black" but more likely they were geographically, genetically and culturally closer to lingual, and haplo groups in North Africa and the Arabian penninsula.

I personally could care less....I'm representin for the Zulus, Congolese etc.

the people in North Africa/Arabia right now are not the same as 2,000 years ago. just like the people in North America right now are not the same as were here 700 years ago. your position is makes zero sense because there is tons of recorded history talking about the mass movement of different peoples into North Africa/Arabia. thus, it makes zero sense to assume the present day population is a good indicator of what the population in the past looked like. it really is as dumb as saying the population of North America 2,000 years ago is the same as the present day population in North American.

How are black's in the diaspora stranded? Blacks in the diaspora have long adapted the ways of life in the New World. You expect them to just all migrate back to Africa? Its not that simple or easy. Also which African country? We're not just talking culture, but language, food and even climates that are taboo. One of my friends who is black just came back from Kenya. Even though he is "tropically adapted" and shouldn't have easily had no problem. But he complained about the it being to humid, foreign insects, he had to take a bunch of pills before he went there, had to drink bottled water, along with many other things. Its not that simple.

IMO if African Americans really wanted to make their own nation that is independent from the USA and want to go back to Africa. I say give Liberia another chance. At least when things get more stable. And even that won't be easy.

The point is that nobody who gives a fukk about you is going to let you and your descendants suffer in a land they were carried captive to for centuries upon centuries without making a sincere effort to get you to come back. Point blank. Is it possible, we were never the same people to begin with?

I'd hardly call Liberia 'independent' of the U.S. One look at their flag will tell you that's not true.
