Was Kurupt's "Kuruption" 2X Album that awful ?

Had a handful of good cuts but overall trash. Was wildly disappointed when I bought this back in the day.

I dont think this album ever had this consensus view that it was horrible. I guess if you were a giant Kurupt fan who was expecting a classic you were let down...but I think the majority of us who heard it back then enjoyed it for a few of the bangers that were on there. Trash is a bit extreme. Shoulda had and east and west "side" instead of an east and west "disc"

He was just repping his East Coast side, though. And I agree Streetz Iz A Mutha is his magnum opus. But his debut is hated but for no reason

expectations were so high. I know I expected more. Same for Deck's album.

on one hand you have probably 2 of the GOAT west coast beats in We Can Freak It from Battlecat and C-Walk by Daz

you also have some of the wackest material on that East Coast disc that probably Kurupt ever spit

which was crazy because on the East Coast tracks I heard him on which was Tru Master and the You Know My Steez remix he was dope
