So I'm watching Madame Secretary and Professor McCord is rattling off countries and terrible dictators who have had human rights violations and Kwame Nkrumah's name got thrown in there. Which now has me wondering? Does he have a point? How true is that?
@Diasporan Royalty @The Odum of Ala Igbo @Emeritus I know you guys are well versed in this area (African history and politics) so I'd like you to chime in as well.
Nkrumah persecuted opposition leaders
pretty sure he killed folks
read this
The origins and the case for preventive detention in Ghana
the opposition had terrorists in their ranks
nkrumah did nothing wrong...they kept trying to kill him...multiple assassination attempts
they even detonated a bomb that nearly killed a little girl that was handing nkrumah a bouquet of flowers at some ceremony....when nkrumah later visited the injured girl at a hospital, he wept
nkrumah was not some terrible dictator with human rights violations...he was trying to suppress a continuous violent plot against his government and his life
it seems evident that you've been exposed to carefully manufactured lies...and they're trying to brainwash viewers of that show into thinking nkrumah was evil
keep in mind that 'madame secretary' is an american series...and it was the cia that really toppled nkrumah's government...
so i'm sure you guys can put two and two together...
there is a reason that the western world is still attacking this man...even after all these decades
he was greater than mandela, but the media in the west won't let you know that
