This just happened to me and my wife tonight. We were downtown walking around and they had the DJ playing in the park and he said "I'm going to put on something for the old folk to to dance to." Yeah, it's as old to us as "Kiss" by Prince (86) or "Word Up" by Cameo (85) was to folks in 2006. It's just music hasn't really evolved as much as it did back then so Throw Some D's doesn't sold quite as old as 80s rnb might have sounded in the 2000s.
