80 is Maino's best friend/right hand man, who is also mad cool with 50 Cent from the streets too, that's why 50 helped Maino get that Atlantic deal. Anyway, point is Maino is connected heavy in the streets.

ODB was shot by a crew that also carried the name "Brooklyn Zoo" (TF- Together Forever) and headed by a Brownsville rapper/drug dealer named Rabs. The shooting had as much to do with the Brooklyn Zoo name as it did with catching Dirt slipping in a Brownsville project apartment, with expensive jewelry on, and no protection. shyt had nothing to do with Maino.
That "Wutang is dead" qoute comes from a track Maino did in the early 2000's that he admitted was a 50 Cent "How to Rob" stunt. The song also claimed Ruff Ryders, and a slew of other rappers were "dead" or played out. Had nothing to do with beef.
Maino is one of Raekwon's best friends, was featured on several of his tracks and opened up for him on several occasions, on tour, these past few years.

I think the incident you're referring to happened in 95. There was another instance where Dirt got shot and it wasn't those BK Zoo guys. I think Maino's team had something to do with it. Somewhere around the time nikka Please dropped.
