I agree with all this...people take that word and run with it, like a lot of words they use today where they don't know the origin...
If we're being fair, it's a fine line entertainers have to walk. You want to have some integrity, but if you aren't depicted real life you'll be chastised as well.
Exactly. There is a huge difference between satire and sambo-ish behavior...Chappelle explicitly acknowledged throughout his show that there are glaring problems in the black community. The first episode with the car commercial was an attack on consumerism. The skit on the black racist was so deep but dudes just laughed at it like it was a regular skit...I see these neo-conservative fukks everyday sticking their noses down at blacks, laying up with whites and calling blacks every derogatory name in the book (Farrakhan). We need to have a breakdown of Chappelle's Show on a intellectual tip and really dissect what each skit meant and why we think he did. Great way to educate with my brehs!
