I grew up on MC Hammer and he has many songs I will always like but lets admit it...him and Vanilla Ice might of been dope at the time but they was hella corny.

Hammer had some hard joints in the 80's... Back when there was only a hand full of lyricist in hiphop

Even tho he wasnt lyrical Hammer stood out because dancing was still a relevant, importing element in hiphop back then

I remember watching this video over and over back in da day...

The man worked harder in that one video than alotta these rappers do their whole careers.

He got real huge when his second album crossed over. Then came the hammer pants and commercials and all the shyt these rappers do today. Hammer was called a sellout for it, but he was just first.

But his first album before people really knew who he was was alright if I remember correctly. Lotta bass plus the dancing and shyt.

Will smiths first album was straight, then him and jazzy blew up on the second one and that was that.

I love both of these songs to this day.

Especially Pump It Up (if any youngins bother to click that vid, most of those dances you see that are now considered cac type, "hip hop dance" standard moves, were seen for the 1st time in that video)

Lets Get It Started was the shyt too

You muthafukkaz don't understand....Titties poppin out left n right, asses stuffed in Guess, you wanted to see broad get wild? Throw on that Let's Get It Started at the school dance or a muthafukkin house party.

Wasn't no holdin up the muthafukkin wall back then,. you wanted to be in the thick of the dance floor to watch the thickest broads in school get live:russ:

Kids loved Hammer not because of no muthafukkin "bars:heh:" it was because them songs was catchy and nikkaz loved to dance straight up. Yo mama, sister, aunties was jazzercizin to MC Hammer in leg warmers in shyt...

Uncles n Ogz tryna do the runnin man. Lil cousins hittin cartwheels breakin out into that shyt on skates my nikka...ROLLER SKATES.

Hammer had his lane and stuck with it. Muthafukkaz who listened to rap knew what time it was. Was me and my potnas playin his tape at the crib, or in the whip? Hella naw, but we didnt really have to because his shyt was everywhere out here. Everybody loved some Hammer. He was that dancin' ass nikka from the Town who took care of his folks.....Some of em just happen to be killaz and cats who moved weight.
