Probably the best defender:mjpls: has faced. He said it himself.

Deserves every bit of his HOF induction as well his championship ring with the Lakers. Even if it was on that '02 team :skip:

My favorite King of them all. The Rock did work every night despite being on a lot of :trash: teams. He did lead us to a playoff spot in '96 where we got a win against the eventual Finals runner up Sonics.

Met him when I was a kid. Class act. If you remember Webber but not Mitch, then you are not a real Kings fan.

He was the '95 All star game MVP too.

Remember he was also on those Run TMC Warrior teams before getting to Sacto too.

Richmond was a great scorer but he was on some bad teams. The '91 Warriors was the only real competitive team that he was a part of. And it's not lost on me that the Kings got better right after he got traded.

Lewis is a what if story, it absolutely sucks that his life ended the way it did but we can't place him above what other people actually accomplished because of speculation of what he could have been

The Kings got better after trading Richmond because he was 33 and nearing the end of his career, they acquired a prime Chris Webber in return for him, and they actually placed a supporting cast around Webber which is something they failed to do when they had Richmond

1. Michael Jordan
2. Clyde Drexler
3. Mitch Richmond
4. Reggie Miller
5. Joe Dumars

Mullin would have been 3, but basketball reference has him listed as a SF instead for most of his career

Honorable Mention: Latrell Sprewell (people forget just how good he was when he started his career, he was the future of the Warriors before the choking incident)

yall really taking reggie miller over mitch richmond :usure:

I think MJ said Mitch was the the toughest player he ever had to guard, not what you wrote. Agree with the rest of the post
