I can see Jordan over Kareem,Wilt obviously but LeBron?,Bird?,Magic? over Kareem Abdul Jabbar?Kareem was dominant on every level of basket he ever played.I know not many of us seen him play in college but those UCLA teams are legendary.

Magic did extend Cap's career, but in doing kinda diminished him a bit. Before magic, cap was the consensus best player in the league playing with a bunch of underachievers on the lakers. Then comes this bright eyes 20 year old kid celebrating game winners the 1st game of the regular season and it kind of took off from there. I think kareem would've won maybe 2 more MVPs had magic never came, and perhaps a title with the right pieces. He would have more mvps and less rings, but people wouldn't diminish him like they do now.

His high school career is nothing like Kareem's, nor was his college career even.

Kareem is legitimately the greatest college player ever, and it's probably between he and LeBron as greatest high school player ever.

And that's not a slight to Jordan on ANY level, it's just a testament to Cap's greatness.

I don't know who I have between Jordan/Kareem/LeBron as the GOAT, but all of these guys have incredible arguments.

I might take Jordan's peak on my team, LeBron if I were starting a team from scratch/beginning of everyone's career, and Kareem's overall career, so they all have ties to being the GOAT in a way.

I personally have Kareem as the GOAT,

I know a lot people have Jordan as GOAT but Kareem accolades speak for themselves, and Jordan being in 90s with mass media and pop culture is the only thing to put him over Kareem.
when it comes to the impact of both players on basketball at all levels, to me Kareem is just more influential and revolutionary, theres a reason no one has managed to replicate the skyhook which speaks to Kareem greatness
