Was Nas on that Lance Armstrong when he wrote No Ideas Original?

Lost Tapes is an extremely lyrically dense album. I think it would get more recognition if it wasn't marketed as a compilation of old songs and as a fresh new album. You can pick any one song off it and it'll stack up against most rappers' best song.

now that I think about it...you right

they really didnt need to say that it was throw away songs. they could have rolled it out as just a Nas project

Hadn't some of those songs already been released/bootlegged? I don't think it would have worked.

Plus, it came out three months before God's Son so there would have been overlap and it would have been overshadowed by the new material anyway. :manny:

I only had heard a rough draft of You gotta love it prior to this release. We saw names of a couple other records, dont know if they hit the streets

I’ve been having this on repeat since Future/Kendrick “Like That” dropped with the same sample and dammit this might be one of Nas most impressive mic performances in his career. Imagine if this was on stillmatic? I mean does Kendrick have one of these in his catalog ?

Always prefer the Barry white sample version. The other one sounds too generic and the smoothness of it is lost
