Hell no...no way.
-Bret was more popular by far. Drew more heat...and more love than Owen ever did...was taken more serious than Bret (more believable)
-Had a far superior ring psychology. Could tell some great storys during wrestling matches.
-Better worker. Never hurt a single wrestler. Owen almost put an end to one of the most important HOFs at the start of his prime.
-Career. Not even close. Championships and accolades aside, Bret had 15+ years of great matches with a wide variety of opponants. Yokozuna...Austin...Untertaker...HBK...Diesel...Stone Cold...123 Kid.
-Better athlete? I guess you could say Owen cuz he displayed more athleticism. Don't think a spinning wheel kick, insiguri and a missle dropkick are moves Bret couldn't pull off just not really fitting for his main event heel style. Lets not act like Owen was Rey Mysterio out there tho. And Bret was known to do Suicide Dives and Planchas himself.
-Better catalog. Bret by far had more 5 star matches than Owen. Alot of the top guys favorite matches where their matches with Bret. Alot of top guys best matches were Bret.
-Better technical skills...once again...its a consensus Bret is one of the best technicians of all time. Could be a very methodical mat tech. His move sets were so smooth from the crisp realistic looking punches and kicks to the perfectly sharp Russian leg sweeps...leg drops...back breakers...bulldogs etc. He was more innovative (figure 4 from the ring post) and popularized a few others.
-Mic skills. Bret. They were both playing their roles as heels on the mic. Old school mentality of not really outshining the Face on the mic. Owen was pretty much always a heel. Bret had some great reactions as both a heel and a face. He was much more sincere and was taken more serious the Owen in every facet.
Its a cute idea to flirt with since I think Owens career has drastically been boosted by his death, and while he may have been a great wrestler he was never on the level of his "loving brother Bret"
