Was Pau Gasol even a top 15 player in 2009 and 2010?

Pau was MAYBE top 15 if you account for Derrick Rose being rookie in one of those years. But Paul Gasol sure as hell wasn't top 10 though.

Lebron stans act like Pau Gasol was as good as prime Shaq when he wasn't. He was all-star level power forward, that's it.

You're talking to dudes who had to bump this thread because they were comparing Austin Reaves and Julius Randle to Chris Bosh and claim Anderson Varejao was barely a G league level player :laff:

Pau wasn't a top 10 player in the league but he was top 15. He was no punk, winning medals with Spain around that time, in fact actually dominating international tournaments with Spain (till they had to play USA)

He won All NBA 3rd team award in 09. I'd pick him over a guy like Tony Parker based on their accomplishments with their national teams. When it came to actually being the leader, Pau did his job better with Spain than Tony with France.

LETS POST FACTS

PAU WAS 27 WHEN HE JOINED THE LAKERS..HE HAD 1 RESERVE ALL-STAR SELECTION AND ZERO ALL-NBA TEAMS TO HIS NAME

AS A POINT OF REFERENCE, BOSH WAS 26 WHEN HE JOINED THE HEAT WITH 5 ALL-STAR SELECTIONS AND 1 ALL-NBA TEAM

HERE'S A B/R LINK THAT SHOWS HE WASNT EVEN CONSIDERED AMONGST THE TOP POWER FORWARDS HEADING INTO THE 2009 SEASON:

EVEN CARLOS BOOZER AND DAVID WEST WERE CONSIDERED BETTER LOL ... BRON GROUPIES TRYNA RE-WRITE HISTORY TO DOWNPLAY KOBES UNPARALLELED ACHIEVEMENTS IS NOTHING NEW THO.

IN REALITY, PAU WENT 22-60 IN MEMPHIS THE YEAR BEFORE LAKERS TRADED FOR HIM AND WAS ON TRACK TO DO THE SAME THE YEAR MEMPHIS DECIDED TO REBUILD WITOUT HIM.

HE WAS TALENTED BUT DEFINITELY NOT A SUPERSTAR. MOST PEOPLE CONSIDERED HIM
SOFT... AND THEN KOBE HAPPENED. WITH KOBE PUSHING HIM TO GREATNESS, HE WENT FROM A LAURI MARKANNEN TYPE TO A 1ST BALLOT HALL OF FAMER.

ALSO, @10bandz YOURE STILL A BUSTER FOR AVOIDING MY QUESTION.

In 2008 (Pau's first season with the Lakers):

Pau Gasol averaged 18.8ppg, good for 37th in the NBA

Hedo Turkolgu was 32nd
Danny Granger was 31st
Josh Howard was 28th
David West was 22nd
Al Jefferson was 20th
Carlos Boozer was 18th
Chris Bosh was 10th

In 2009:

Pau Gasol averaged 18.9ppg, good for 26th in the NBA

Rudy Gay (his former teammate in Memphis when they lost 12 straight playoff games) was 25th
Jason Terry was 22nd
Yao Ming was 21st
Al Jefferson was 20th
Ben Gordon was 17th
David West was 15th
Devin Harris was 14th
Antwan Jamison was 11th
Chris Bosh was 9th

In 2010:

Pau Gasol averaged 18.3ppg, good for 26th once again tied with Dwight and Paul Pierce and barely ahead of GERALD WALLACE

Chris Kaman was 25th
Brook Lopez was 23rd
David West was 22nd
Carlos Boozer was 21st
Aaron Brooks was 19th
Corey Maggette was 17th
David Lee was 15th
Zach Randolph was 12th
Amare was 10th
Chris Bosh was 9th
Danny Ganger was 8th
but apparently he was a top 10 player :laff: :laff: :laff: In 2010 Pau was 19 and 11, Gerald Wallace was 18 and 10 :dead:

Klutch and LeGBT are literally a propaganda organization :laff::laff:

Oh and before you dumbass nikkas say "A lot of those names on that list were playing for garbage teams"

In 2006, Memphis was 22-60, Pau somehow took the same amount of shots as Mike Miller and scored 20.8 ppg while Mike scored 18ppg

That was good for 19th in the NBA, right ahead of MIKE JAMES

Antwan Jamison 18th
Mike Bibby 17th
Shawn MArion 15th
Chris Bosh 14th
Jason Richardson 13th
Elton Brand 11th

oh but when he joined the Lakers he was easily top 10, no big men outside of KG/TD/Dirk were really putting up numbers like Pau huh:laff::laff::laff:

How you an unquestioned, can't-be-argued top 10 player but you were never a top 20 scorer, and barely a top 10 rebounder :laff:

Dudes gassing in here too...

Pau was a really good player. Top 15, I don't know if it ever occurred to me in real time, but of today's stars, he was essentially what Towns or Mobley is. Not one of The League's elite stars and not good enough to be a contender as a franchise player, but neither was Bosh. They were in the same ballpark, Bosh has more accolades because he played in the weaker conference with less competition at his position...

Never would you watch Bosh and think he was that much better than Pau, if you thought he was better at all. They were the white/black version of each other, if you switched teams, Bosh ain't doing shyt in The W on those Memphis teams either and Pau would be more visible on those Raptor teams in a weaker conference...

They the Same Guy, both their era's version of Towns. At their best you could call them Top 15, so that aint outta the question. Neither were ever Top 10 guys...

Despite that, he was a seamless fit with Bean and that made all the difference in that era...
