I always thought it was a mistake to not tour Sign of the Times in America. If he toured in 87 he would have been have reminded everyone he was THAT dude and who knows how it would have changed the landscape of rnb in 88 and moving forward. Black folks in America couldn't see breh sing "Adore" live but some cac euros can? that's grimey. You had to watch the concert movie he put out which my folks had on VHS.

Also he could have come back as early as 99 if he changed his name back to Prince and "Rave the Light Fantastic" was actually good. Madonna aint half the musician Prince was but Ray of Light is a much better album than Rave...
