Satan gets his glory here on earth through secular music. This is one of the reasons I believe Christians should be mindful of what they listen to. Satan wants the glory and worship here on earth that he could not get in heaven.
Have you ever stopped to think how many musicians and singers say they began singing and using their GIFTS in church and then left to pursue the riches and fame of the world. Satan is directly behind it.

"And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allaah without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allaah, the Verses of the Qur'aan) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the Hell-fire)."

I listen to music as well, but breh let us not try to make the haram halal. Other then tambourine-like instruments, the playing of all other wind and musical instruments are considered unlawful in Islam.
A lot of music, whether you realise it or not, is manipulative and is a form of brainwashing. People that are involved in the music industry deliberatly intend to manipulate their listeners
