I agree. I think the way players come up has a lot to do with it too. Back in the day nikkas got refined in college but they came in with basic elements of a post game. Now nikkas are just raw as fukk getting by on being bigger, stronger, and faster than everybody.

Some of that falls on these bum ass coaches they deal with before even got into the league.
instead of teaching kids how to be well rounded players they focus on ONE aspect of their game just to deal with their current competition.
Makes me think of that little nikka Andrew Goudelock. He was able to get away with playing the 2 guard throughout high school and college but never developed solid ball handling or playmaking skills. So when he gets to the NBA he realizes he's too small to play the 2 and not nearly skilled enough to play the 1.

Really all you can speak on intelligently is greatest you ever seen.. very few have the privilege to know and build with people who been around the game for all these generations.. you got people in here asking what you going off shaq highlights and that's all you got of wilt. All the coaching strategies and high percentage shot coaching were not around when wilt was fukkin running around beasting.. no one watched tape or developed strategies like hack a shaq.. on top of none of us being of age to even watch em play but we gonna go back and forth about some silly ass stats

So how, based upon the logic you just put forth, can nikkas speak intelligently on what's the best of all time?
Beyond that while there is definitely a certain value to seeing a nikka play you tryna tell me you can't recognize the greatness of Wilt or Kareem or any of the other greats because you didnt' see thm play? A lot of nikkas on here either didnt' actually see Shaq play as a rookie or weren't old enough to really understand what they were seeing anyway.
He took arguably the worst team in the league the year before to the playoffs in the western conference

That team also added Andre Miller and Boykins and Leonard and got a full season out of Camby. 4 of their top 5 scorers (including Melo) were guys who weren't on the team the previous year.
