Can you imagine how much pressure there is being a top recruit? Your whole city, if not state, projecting their hopes and dreams onto you. Your local church got your momma a parking spot and a great seat. Like you said, everybody expecting you to blow up and make millions, and be on TV. All the haters who told you you were overrated, praying on your downfall.

That level of expectation gotta be insane to deal with.

Bruh, that's telling dude to doubt his own ability. Granted, it might've been the most practical decision, but I'm pretty sure more than a few people told him he was good enough. The multiple top schools offering him the opportunity did nothing to help him choose a mid-tier school.

You're right, it's easy to say these things in hindsight. Personally, I would have gone to a mid-tier. Simply as a safety blanket.

My cousin was lookin like a Prime Barry Sanders in his high school highlight reel tape when in reality he was just ok. He got a nice scholarship and a degree out of them cacs though

NBA is the second hardest league to get in next to baseball. You can be amazing in high school and that only gets you to 15th on the bench in college.

shyt we see dudes be amazing in college and can’t be shyt in the NBA.

I’m not surprised any of these cherry picked highlight kids ain’t in the nba. I don’t see any videos of fundamentals, shooting, passing, defense, calling plays or height.

Goes to uconn full ride. Can’t even get on the roster as a running back. At fukking uconn. Had him playing special teams.

Yea them dudes is on a completely different level. I knew I wasn’t shyt in basketball after I played against a real D-1 level talent. I couldn’t anticipate anything he did, couldn’t stop anything he did, he moved like a ballerina no homo. He was 3-4 steps faster than I was. And he didn’t make the league so he wasn’t even that good on a college level. So yea all them hours I spent shooting jumpers should’ve been spent in them books because I still wasn’t shyt compared to them nikkas But atleast your cousin got them cacs for his education. Hopefully he flipped it into a good living for himself. That’s all that matters.
