This is before my time but
All I see is a sea of cacs dissing and hating on a fun black music genre....

I doubt if black people fukked with disco like that
Partially, yes it was especially by the straight white male Rockist crowd. Disco was seen as the ultimate minority music (latins-ricans and blacks) and it didn't help that gay men regardless of race, latched on to the music.
Black people created disco though.I doubt if black people fukked with disco like that

I believe hip-hop also played a role since it sucked in most of the disco fans. I stand to be corrected, tho.

The old heads said it, it wasn't just an attack on disco, it was an attack on black music altogether. See the contrast in the end of this era and the beginning of the reagan era with hair metal, machismo, hair bands, etc,.

Sister Sledge
Diana Ross
Micheal Jackson ( The Jacksons )
Chic
Evelyn "Champagne" King
Earth Wind and Fire
Kool and the Gang
Rick James
Etc...
All have some form of Disco tracks and or albums
You just didn't realize or know you were listening to disco.
