Yeah he is wrong because it’s dishonest, if he wanted her to go in on the bills he could’ve just had an honest talk about splitting it in some form. Lying to pay the note just blows up the whole relationship dynamic, and stamps him as a dishonest person. If you would lie and scheme to do that, what else would you do?
If it were the other way around, she'd be praised for it.....or at the very least, the benefit of the doubt

i don't think this is an equal comparison because of gender role expectations.

something more fair would probably be her pretending to be ill to avoid cooking & cleaning to make him do all the work. I imagine other women would call her a lazy bytch.

They're not married he owes her nothing.

Nah but really tho that's horrible. I'm a cheater myself and I think that's so foul. If you care about a woman enough to move in with them then no need to be hiding the fact that you own the house you are both living in. It sets a bad precedent in the relationship.
