Popular to whom, NYers? lol

Lord Willin came out in 2002 and had more to do with guys like Wayne wanting to be coke rappers than Dip mixtapes did...Most of us didn't even acknowledge them until Juelz and Wayne started collab

:laff:

are you serious?? the same lil wayne whose entire style of dress was heavily influenced by juelz santana and his crew?

I'm from Philly it was heavy but it was like the B team/reject movement..The Roc/State Prop and D Block had shyt on lock and then all the dudes that couldn't quite cut it were die hard Dipset dudes. The real dudes rocked with Dipset but to an extent, while to the "bench players" shyt was like a cult.

Yep!! whatever was poppin in NY made its way here.. every black dude tried dressing like a member of the dips..once white dudes seen black dudes rockin pink at school and shyt pink t shirts and polos became exploded

I think more people bumped G Unit regularly (as much as I can remember) but as far as fashion goes.. Dipsets influence had that on lock here

Even in Florida girls were saying, "what's good?"

If it wasn't for Dip Set artists wouldn't be setting up movements.

:pachaha: huh? nikkas been saying what's good in dade since the 90s. But Dips def had a lil influence down here with the pink tees and then nikkas rocking fitteds one size bigger :snoop: then when Jim droppin ballin and started the rock star shyt nikkas jumped on that down here too

I wouldn't say huge but them fukking with Wayne definitely helped them crossover into the South, plus I came up in HS with that first wave of NYC kids that moved South under Bloomberg and they would basically dikkride the Dips to keep their NY identity
hold up u went to highschool down south?

man ur city card is revoked
