Was the Hughes Brothers "From Hell" and "Book Of Eli" any good?

From Hell was a good which I'm surprised. I liked it.

The Book of Eli good movie and I was so shocked when I found out and rematched and it makes sense...miss a lot of scenes that gave you hint.

From Hell was a very good movie.

Book of Eli was ok, but it's a solid movie nonetheless.

'From Hell' was ill....I waited all summer for that movie, watching the trailers all the time, I was so obsessed with Jack the Ripper, and all that, the movie didn't let me down, I don't like it as much as when I was 16, but it's still solid. It's a bit too stylish in some instances, doesn't have the grit and grime that would have pushed it a little further, but a really good thriller/mystery. To it's credit, it isn't nearly as goofy and over the top as the "Sherlock Holmes' adaptations of 2009.

Did the opposite today, been playing Fallout 3 most of the day and flipped to Book of Eli on TNT

Book of Eli's a good post-apocalyptic allegory type of movie. Never seen From Hell

Book of Eli is a cool ass movie, but that's only because is in it. If it were played by anyone else like Marky Mark it would probably be below average.
