You're all bugging the fukk out.

It was a play on the words of this song.

Mobb Deep its mine - YouTube

'The life is mine'.

Motherfukkers took that shyt and tried to make it a Pac diss. :camby:

It was just a play on the words of the hot song on the charts at the time.
Murda Muzik got bootlegged like a motherfukker and Loud/Sony had them go and add a bunch of new songs to it to keep the buzz up/exclusivity so people would still cop the offical LP/CD.

They added
    • Spread Love (old)
    • I'm Going Out (featuring Lil' Cease) (new)
    • Can't fukk Wit (featuring Raekwon) (new)
    • It's Mine (featuring Nas) (new)
    • Quiet Storm (Remix) (featuring Lil' Kim) (new)

It's Mine was just a grab at radio/tv etc.

In recent years I thought it was “the life is mine”
Nas just did a tribute to him the same year. Why would he turn around and diss him?

if what @The Dust King is saying is true then it was most definitely a diss

Pac had died tho,so I hope the words ain’t what I originally thought it was

can nas clear this up??

*edit*

ohhhhh shyt...crazy this is one of my favorite tracks (due heavily in part to the sample from ‘scarface’) and I ALWAYS thought it was “the...life...is...mine” awww man...I’m about to take my shirt off and bump this track screaming “thug life is mine!” :blessed:

Doesn’t make sense when nas made we will survive around the same time :patrice:
Exactly..Nas has always been a big Pac fan. I doubt he was sneak dissing him after he was dead and gone for 3 years. Them Mobb Deep cats I’m more sure about.

But that song is just some young dudes flossing on tracks..celebrating succes, i refuse to believe they had Pac in mind writing that track lol

thats exactly what nas says

T.H.U.G. L.I.F.E. is mine

The hate u give lil infants fukks everybody

mobb also recorded a track around that time frame where they bigged pac up

its on the 911 album, first track

Not to mention Hav shouted out Pac on the same album and even brought it up in an interview explaning how his past probs with Pac might make people think it's a diss but he was shouting him out

Yall gotta realize that was a different era, dudes had some sort of morals. It was rare u saw someone diss a deceased person even if they didn't like them.

That's some shyt this new generation of feminine emotional dudes be on
