I had to tell my boy that this shyt wasn’t a diss too. Nas literally just dropped “We Will Survive” as a tribute to Pac earlier in that same year. Why would he turn around and diss Pac? I always felt this theory was stupid.
all that needs to be said

Yea that was some sucker ass shyt too

That was right after Pac died tho

Still not cool but Big had more real life problems with Pac, Mobb just had rap beef. What would make them randomly diss him 3 yrs later especially after shouting him out on the same album?
I agree. They didn’t diss Pac.

Keep that same energy

:yeshrug:

keep what energy ???

Nas is one of the greatest of all time, hands-down but I personally never been a fan of him
so, I have absolutely no dog in this fight

the reason that everybody took it as a diss was simply because the term “Thug Life” was originated in Queens
I heard that term back in the 80s and I’m a Bronx nikka

:snoop:

well tell that to damn near every hip hop head in nyc back in ‘99 when the song was originally dropped on DJ Clues exclusive mix tape
They was all fukkin wrong. Like I said before this has ALWAYS been a dumb theory. And both Nas and Mobb has disputed it. Nas literally did a tribute to Pac earlier in that SAME year. Why would he turn around and diss him? Use ur brain. Even the Outlawz thought it was a diss until they spoke to Nas directly and realized it was a misunderstanding. Outlawz went on Rap City The Bassment and came at Nas/Mobb over it but they fell back when they found out the truth. That’s why Young Noble and The Outlawz LOVE Nas at this point.

And this explains ur posts when it comes to Nas. U have tunnel vision when u don’t like someone u have no way of being unbiased. It’s like it’s physically impossible for u.

Think about it.

PAC is dead.

Them niccas come up with a hook saying thug life is mine.

Nothing else to be said.
They was saying “Thug Life we still livin it” back in 94-95 as well. Before there was ever an issue. Like I said. Nas literally just did a tribute to Pac the year “It’s Mine” dropped.

again, i gots no dog in this fight

but one has to be completely asinine to say this song wasn't a diss

the hook is

Y'all need to give it up we don't give a fukk
What y'all nikkaz want thug, life, is, mine
Y'all need to give it up 'cause we don't give a fukk
What y'all nikkaz want thug, life, is mine

and Havoc literally starts the song out with
Yo straight thugs on this side it's do or die...

Thug Life was a Q-Borough term

:mjtf:

just because i’m not a personal fan of someone has absolutely nothing to do with being bias
