Was the ring breaking in that Brock Lesnar - Big Show match real?

shyt was scripted as hell, but Tazz did sell the hell out of it... and the crowd chanting "HOLY shyt!" was the icing on the cake.

Definitely gimmicked. Are we really questioning how much weight a ring can hold? Two words: Royal Rumble. :what:

Wasn't there a broken ring spot recently where Cena had to wrestle a match in it afterward though? I'm trying to remember what that was. I don't mind spots where the ring gets manipulated, as long as it comes at the end of the show. However, it's only cool when it's protecting kayfabe (unlike Bully Ray pulling up padding and shyt) :smh:

Nah, cause I wasn't watching wrestling weekly when Lesnar was in the E the first go around.

That six way Hell in a Cell match comes to mind... had to be well over a 1000 pounds in the ring at once.

Not trying to say the spot was real (I know it was scripted) but I think there might be a difference between a distributed weight of over 1000 pounds that's simply shuffling around on top of the mat.....and 800 pounds that suddenly crashes down in one spot from like 8 feet above. I say 'might' because I'm honestly not sure if that would make much of a difference in terms of 'breaking' the ring, if it legit wasn't stable

Plus you could also just say someone in the ring crew just didn't set it up properly that night, and that large slam was enough to break it as a result :manny:

Taz sold that moment like a muthafukka, he deserves props for that

Cole did his thing, too. His dramatic "A superplex! OH MY GOD!" followed by Taz's shocked "HOLY S**T!!!....WHAT THE HELL!!!", had me like :ohhh: when I first saw it

I think to put it straight, the cameras didn't catch the trigger man. I mean you need to keep the wrestlers safe, but then at some point you need to unstabilize the ring to cause the effect. So like one minute before the spot, you have the trigger man pull out a thing to unstabilize the ring and then boom.
Yea but the people who was there in the arena would have saw the trigger man

I agree, this dude cussed on regular TV

Taz selling it that way made it seem like it was real and was legit shocked the ring broke.

See I don't know fully. It's just I am skeptical of the entire ring being rigged prior to the match, for safety reasons; because of the Owen Hart situation.

Thete is a difference between a lot of weight standing around and a move like that off the top rope.

Its still a work though.
