Man I don't have any kids but I can't imagine how Otis felt when he found out his son passed. I read the book and he talked about how tough it was. Said he found comfort in the Word though.

When Smokey sung at Blue's funeral tho! I cried when I first watched it and I still cry to this day.

The indepth story of all of them (that were featured in the movie) is even sadder. Paul Williams was a true drunken abuser, David Ruffin's drug use (they didn't even mention Tammy Terrell), Blue and his health issues.

Those guys went thru alot of hell back then which made the ending of the movie (where they perform together one last time) even sadder.
