I remember back in that same time when I'd be on mIRC or whatever and in some channels people would ask questions about issues they are having and more often then not someone would say "deltree system" - not even a second later you see dude go offline.

I remember when I got my very first pc in 2001. I bought spider man the game not knowing you needed a gfx card. My dumb ass stayed up all night on yahoo search trying to download an nvidia card. I think I ended up with the drivers.
