Was this a rude message to send to my neighbor?

She put her recycling in my bin AGAIN for pickup. The cans were full of flies.

She also lets her dogs poop all over her yard, and doesn’t clean it, and it smells. I can’t even open the windows on that side of the house, and my basement windows are right next to her ground, an I have to look at piles of crap going in and out of the basement.

I texted her, and told her not to put her stuff in my bin, and if she doesn’t clean the dog poop in 24 hours, I’m calling the city.

I then texted my mom, because she used to live here before giving me the house, and she said it was mean, and I shouldn’t have threatened to call the city.

I feel you need to be firm with people so they know you mean business.



Clearly, being clean and having consideration for others wasn’t enough of an incentive, so not being reported to the city is the new incentive.

Plus, she’s a middle aged white woman, and thinks she can get away with not maintaining her property in a gentrifying town. If she had white neighbors, they would have BEEN called the cops. I’ve been putting up with her for 4 years.

I had another situation recently w/ a neighbor...he missed the garbage truck picking up cans on his side of the street...so he put his garbage can next to mine so it can be picked up and then went to work...now I don’t live directly across from him so he had to cross the street and walk a little bit down to basically put his can in front my house...but I didn’t trip...I’m thinking as long as he moves his shyt when he comes home I’m good...me and the cac don’t speak btw...never so much as said ‘hi’ to each other...so he comes home parks his car and goes in his house...garbage can is still in front my house...he leaves to go out later that nite...garbage can still in front my house...idk maybe I’m wired differently but it PISSED me off that he thought it was ok to leave his garbage can in front my house all damn day w/ no regard for my property space...so I took his garbage can all the way down the street to a major intersection and left his garbage can on an island...he found it eventually...I could’ve asked him to move it but I was really fukking annoyed...I didn’t feel I should have to ask a grown ass man to not have his garbage can in front my house all day smh

sometimes I overreact but my advice to you last time was to @ least talk to her directly/firmly to avoid the shyt becoming a habit on her part

if my camera catches a neighbor opening my bin or letting their dog poop on my property they'll hear about it and it won't be by text message. first off don't fukk with either of my bins. i keep my shyt clean and our city's garbage trucks have cameras. if you put some toxic shyt in there and it's recorded as being from me then that's a problem. also i wash my bottles and food containers before putting them in the recycling bin because i keep mine in the garage and don't want ants and other shyt coming for it. also plastic bags aren't suppose to go in the recycling bin because the bags get stuck in the sorting machine and shut shyt down. so when i see you putting a plastic bag full of what you consider recyclables in my bin, that's a problem.

She texted back and said she won’t do it again, and she’ll have someone shovel the poop. Little does she know I now have cameras up due to my floral theft, and if she dumps the poop in my yard, it’s a wrap.

My city will send fines for having the wrong items in the bin. Since her name was on magazines, and my name was on my magazines, there is no telling who would get in trouble. She put a Popeyes chicken box in there, and that is supposed to go into regular trash.

You did the right thing, one thing I learned in life if it isn't in writing or on camera - it didn't happen.
