On one hand, Tony was right because Manolo was a blatant womanizer.

Tony idealized his sister into sainthood, a symbol of innocence and purity. He could go out and do demonic things but, she had to stay "pure". He didn't want Manolo's demonic ways corrupting his sister. He wanted a nice guy for her. On the other hand, a simple asswhooping would have sufficed, maybe shooting him in the foot or something but, since Tony was crazy and sniffed enough Coke to get all of South Beach high, he killed him. He was dead wrong for that.

Having watched the movie a few times, I don't think he really saw her that way, he was just really fukking anal about anything he perceived
as "his" and that extended to his family.

That said, he was high on that yayoTony was WRONG. Everything we saw on screen told us that he would have done much better if he never
took that skinny ass Michelle Phiffer as his lady, and if he stayed off that coke. He was cunning enough to prosper if he wasn't constantly getting in his
own way. Killing Manolo was another one of his missteps, and definitely the biggest one, even if *that* isn't what ultimately got him killed.

Point of this thread tho is he right to kill manolo and i think he was right given the magnitude of the seidelbom mistake brought down the entire operation and got eveyrone killed...manolo deserved to pay for that.

Tony didn't seem like the worlds best family man but how is he supposed to react around his mother if his sister is married to his former best friend?

People are suggesting Tony should have back down on his original word to Manny not to mess with his sister and abandon his family and let everyone live their lives all happily ever after? If you tell someone, especially an adult, and especially your close friend not to do something and they do it anyway and it is something as big as what Manny did-- leaving Tony on stuck, sneaking around with his sister--you are just supposed to let it go? Just let things be?

Death was the most appropriate option in my opinion. That being said, it definitely isnt or wasnt an easy option, but it had to be done.

Tony was away for a while and ended up getting his hands dirty. Upon returning home he couldn't just transition back into home life. He couldn't just go home and be a son and brother to his sister, he was already in the game and had to continue to do what he needed to do. He had the choice and the right choice, not to bring that shyt home.

A lot of people are young and think bringin work home is cool, especially if you have power because, who's going to fukk with you? There was no way Tony was going to let his moms get caught up, or have cats kidnapping his sister from a nightclub because they want a ransom or over some beef. That's just common sense.

In the game, everybody talks. If he would have bought his mom a mansion and his sister a crib and cars, he'd have to have his guys drive them around or escort them out and such and that shyt gets around. Next thing you know a disgruntled ex worker from Tony's crew is like "I know where his mom's house is..I still have the security code." or one of his guys is like "You see that girl over there? Thats Gina Montana, Tony's sister." he might say it as a fun fact, but then his young cousin or nephew who is tryin to get clout or be cool by name droppin says it to someone else "Hey that's Tony Montana's sister.." Next thing you know, she's kidnapped or her salon is shot or blown up.

Tony knew what was up.
