A lot of people are young and think bringin work home is cool, especially if you have power because, who's going to fukk with you? There was no way Tony was going to let his moms get caught up, or have cats kidnapping his sister from a nightclub because they want a ransom or over some beef.
His sister was at his wedding and most likely other events too. Not like he was hiding his family or personal life at all. He killed Manolo cuz he was a coked out stressed out psycho. But he was wrong.

Tony was too reckless. He was never going to be able to keep the crown with his coke habit and his attitude. The way he treated Manolo and the rest of the squad just sealed his fate. if he had shown his day one nikkas some respect and taken some advice now and then the ending scene would have ended differently.

instead he got coked out and died from the result of all his misdeeds. Moral of the the whole film is don't be like him.

I'd have to watch the wedding scene again but I doubt he had gang leaders there. He might have got "good wishes" and a box of Cubans and a bottle of something from Sosa and others. His wedding was likely his goons, their spouses, his sister.

The heads of the five families would be cordial to each other, some closer than others, definitely pay respects and do a cameo at a funeral for someone's loss but they ain't mingling at weddings and doing receptions and all that.

Agree with @nikkahs B. Wildin

Manolo was a womaniser and a drug dealer. If that's the kind of guy you want for your sister then you don't love her.

100% he was going to break her heart given that he was depicted as a playa and pretty boy in the film. So he would have to beef with a dude he was getting money with...

Not to mention the dangers that come with being a major cocaine trafficker's woman..

Personally I would want my sister to be with a safe square man.

Manny was wrong cause he was warned and yet still made his choice.

But Tony was mre wrong cause he was a cokehead not thinking straight PLUS he had a weird incest thing for his sister :scusthov:

It's like this . Tony and Manny were work boys. Tony knew Manny was a grimey dude remember the scene where he flicks his tongue at the woman at the beach?

That's Manny. Great work dude, great partner, down to ride and all that but you don't let him smash or marry your sister.

That adds too many variables as it is. Say they all lived, get into another gang beef dudes kill Manny's wife, that's Tony's sister --dont shyt where you eat.

Yall some sucker for love, love conquers all, he really loved her and was a changed man type of people :manny: that's cool but it ain't real life.

Yall actin like Tony and Manny where childhood friends that grew up together.

Yall gonna let your best friend, who you fukked bytches and got money with smash your baby sister? Yall putting friends over family.

:dahell:

Manny's a "grimey dude"... these nyggas were dealing coke and killing people... Tony had some sicko obsession with his sister and she knew it (hence the "you want me Tony...fukk me..."scene before the end where Gina gets killed)

Talking about friends over family...Gina is NEVER in that position if Tony doesn't kill Manny :sas2:

Tony probably doesn't get ambushed as easily if he has his right hand man and business partner riding with him at the end

I know this is all "hypothetical" so no need for us to get real involved, but you know how the Mob stays tight...lots of intermixing with families. Plenty of "work boys" marrying little sisters to keep everything close knit. You the type of dude who wants some stranger infiltrating, poking his nose around the family talking bout "what does your brother do for a living :lupe:"

At most, that's a fight. But Manny probably would've beat that ass.

You can't control grown folks. Ultimately, it's not up to Tony. Not to mention he was huggin' on his sister groin to groin. Somethin' was up.

As for Manny fukkin' up with the feds, that situation was handled. Tony fukked that up by killin' Sosa's peoples.

IMO, Tony turned into exactly what Frank warned him about. Hassa.

Tony simply self destructed.

You don't fukk your main man, sister!! Especially when you're doing just as much dirt as him. It would be one thing if you were a stand up, goodie two shoes type dude, but you're a fukking drug dealer! Stay away from my sister!!
