I dont even see those movies as Star Trek really. Trek is about science and the examination of the human spirit and the old question, what is our purpose in the universe?
And real Star Trek examines social issues, slavery, war, religion and tries to answer questions on a philosophical level.
Those movies are nothing but Michael Bay productions with the name Star Trek slapped on it.
I felt the same way about Picard. Star Trek was never an action show like these new shows try to be. Trek was a science philosophy show that had action in it.

Yep I don't like any of the newer trek besides the 2009 movie. I really haven't enjoyed any of the new tv shows and movies. I'm 34 been a fan since I was a kid and tbh it's kinda heartbreaking that trek has had a resurgence but it's not really enjoyable.
