I remember when "Yeah" first came out. It wasn't really getting that must play until about a month or two after it was released. I think what really blew up that Confession album was the whole rumor of him cheating on Chilli and having a kid with another woman. Probably one of the best marketing of an album ever.

Usher was ON FIRE back then...he was EASILY the biggest pop star in the world. He had the world/music industry in the palm of his hand. We haven't seen anything like that in awhile......And to think "Yeah" wasn't even the best song on the album!

Try being in Atlanta at that time period. They played Yeah and Burn back to back 24/7. Usher was the goddamn KING of the city for 2 years straight off that album. I was in highschool at the time and all ANYBODY was bumping was either Confessions or Speakerboxx/Love Below. Those are the two albums that I can say with confidence that I saw first hand take over an ENTIRE city almost overnight......

It was a dope album though. Usher's swag in 2004 was:lawd:

I was living in Omaha, NE when Yeah first came out, and it was a damn CAC anthem. Although, one song that got ALOT of play around that time was Freek-A-Leek by Petey Pablo. That shyt was huge and corny as fukk also...
