I think we have short term memories. Where was this argument last year when the defense played poorly and Hienicke took all the blame even though he was putting up points but we couldn’t stop anyone? Why is it okay for Taylor to take all the blame last year and not Wentz this year given that the situation is the same?
What points were we putting up? We had 4 games where we scored more than 3tds. Also let’s be real about this run. Our losses when we were 1-4 were to Philly, Dallas, Tennessee, Detroit. That’s 3 of the best 4 teams in the league right now. Our current wins have come against Colts, Texans, Falcons, Bears, Packers, and Philly. The Philly game we had a lot of good fortune go our way and the rest of those teams all have losing records and are amongst the worst teams in the league. There’s absolutely nothing I’m seeing that says Wentz couldn’t have won those same games.

Defense, run the ball to keep the other team off the field, limit turnovers….you do that and you’ll beat must bad teams in this league.

So Wentz lost those games… last year Taylor had tougher teams to play against without a defense. He took the blame for everything he became the scapegoat… why wouldn’t Wentz be looked at the same playing the same position?

Bias turning its ugly head… now saying the eagles game was a fluke too? Last I checked, we’re the only team to beat them.

Wentz was holding on to the ball taking bad sacks, I will say the Oline has been playing better but Heinicke is able to avoid the rush some or get the ball out much quicker. He also gives his play makers 50/50 balls.

Defense has been playing worlds better, I think we would have a chance to have one more win with Heinicke has he fits the offense better. The defense deserves a ton of credit, William Jackson was horrible this year and was an huge liability out there. The young guys in the secondary are playing scrappy and not totally blowing plays.

Look at how Coach Rivera told his players they made the proBowl. I love how Tres Way seem happier for his teammate than himself. This was touching

I didn’t realize Jeremy was on the practice squad on and off since 2018… dude came a long way. Good example of hard work and determination paying off.

I actually agree with this move. Don’t get me wrong, Ron Rivera & this front office are still mid, but making Young have a prove it season will hopefully motivate him to get double digit sacks. Hopefully he and Montez Sweat ball out this year.

New owner, and a new HC/FO incoming shortly. Things are finally looking up :blessed:
