What is Washington Heights West of Broadway like?

Been there most of my life. A lot quieter and less busy. Apartments are nicer so rent is higher. Best place in Manhattan if you want to live in a chill, almost suburban atmosphere. Was lily white but more diverse now.

I know most Puerto Ricans and Dominicans have black ancestry, but I've observed that in common NYC parlance they are usually not lumped in with black people and you probably noticed that yourself. That's why upper Manhattan and The West/South Bronx are described as "black and Latino" but nobody describes Eastern Brooklyn as "black and West Indian".

I don't think someone would see Alex Rodriguez or Michelle Rodriguez walking down the street and refer to them as a black person

As someone who goes through that area daily, the women from Washington Heights are overrated. And plus from my personal experience, Dominican women don't give cats of a certain melanin any play.
