Honestly a Kendrick documentary wouldn't be good either, and an actual Kendrick fan would know that. He's quite reserved, isn't the type to really impress you in an interview, etc. He reminds me of Nas in that sense. Granted Nas has a documentary out, but that's 20+ years after his debut. Maybe by then Kendrick will be more open too.

Like I said I don't really like Cole's music (FHD is aite) but the hate he receives is laughable. He's making music on his terms and doesn't give a fukk what the media or industry has to say. How can you not respect that as a hip hop fan?

I don't fux with Cole much but this is a trash article. Not a single mention of the documentary, just pure hating. smh

Cole gotta feel some type of way about how Kendrick gets all the acclaim. Granted I think Kendrick deserves it whereas Cole is basically a glorified punchline rapper but still...
Nah fukk that

J.Cole did the thing with 'Be Free' on Lettermen..

If Kendrick did a performance like that, the dikkriding would be :scust:

Too many people out there who refuse to give Cole ANY props...dude deserves respect just for that Letterman performance and going plat with no features alone.

J. Cole fans mad as shyt. Man all y'all need to shut tha fukk up :scust:
:camby:

It's actually the Cole haters who are constantly mad as fukk.

I've actually seen posts that say dude doesn't deserve the success he has..

@SirBiatch yea i'm calling your bytchass out...claiming to be a grown man but saying some hoe ass shyt like that.(Correction you dapped the post, but still hoe shyt). You constantly feel yourself as you're some elite poster, but . :martin:

Also people talk about "Machines"

Yet outside of the :trash: ass Booth, no one really mentions or cares about Kendrick/Dre, Cole/Jay connection.

:mjlol:

the fukked up thing about this is, that off record, J.Cole got way more of a personality than Kendrick.

I'm sorry, but kendrick is one of the most boring rappers I've seen
:heh:

especially next to schoolboy.

Matter of fact everybody in TDE outside of schoolboy got that real low key vibe. shyt wouldn't make for entertaining tv.

I stopped reading when they said the year belonged to Kendrick.

If you really listen to rap you know Thug owned the year. WaPo even had that article about Thug, now they slobbing Duckworth. Is it Oochie Wally or is it One Mic? :jbhmm:

didn't Future own the year, not Thug (whose album sold like 15k first week)?
:troll:

pretty amazing that Kendrick released "the blackest album of the year" yet for the most part is getting more props from white people and black writers than fans. And I say that as a Kendrick stan.

so Im guessin 2014 was owned by Boosie because going by her standards of what qualifies as someone's year you have to have music be played at rallies.

which Boosie had one of his songs being chanted by nikkas in ferguson.

It doesn’t have to be safe.

this got me weak :mjlol:

lol at safe. Cole was actually at those protest and was at the Million man march. But for some reason he is "safe" what the fukk does that mean. So what is Kendrick? he was nowhere when those protest or when Million man march happened.

this bytch actin like Kendrick is Garvey and they are havin UNIA meetings in the TDE building about making Africa great again :russ:

Really it was Future's year, Thug was second.

Big Bruh. I've been around The Coli for a lil minute. Yall stay on Cole and Drake nuts, that's why y'all so mad now.

J. Cole has the time and talent to do even greater things and make even greater music. But FHD was just the beginning of all of that. And honestly, IMO , and i admit it's been a second since i vibed to it but it wasn't even really all that great. A few stand out tracks, definitely bangin'. But overall it's not THAT good. Maybe for Mainstream "novice"/"rookie" Artists but in the big scheme of things it's just alright.

And I don't think it's Black People hating on "To Pimp A Butterfly" and Kendrick. I mean, I know some do, and I know why they feel that way but it's definitely a majority of Others or Youngin lookin 4 dat gangsta shyt
