Kanye's usage wasn't really demeaning, and considering Wayne has said this before, it's kind of a moot issue to me.

He shouldn't have used it, but in his mind he used it without backlash back in what, 2006? So why not use it again. Hip-hop fans should be on him for shamelessly recycling lines over and over.

A week or so of faux outrage and righteous indignation is pretty much the standard issue price of "accountability" over a random rap line...think wayne gets about 1 or 2 of these a year...Epic kept it classy and edited that out, all should be right with the world now
If 50 dropped this line you would be aghast & tripping over yourself w/indignance

Not really...pretty sure 50 has said plenty of lines that I could scurry up some kind of moral outrage for if I was pressed to do so...threatening to kill people's innocent kids or saying "fukk the hood, I'm rich" or some sh!t...the content of his rhymes on some "what's in good taste" isn't anything I've cared to hate on about 50... can't say I've ever pretended to have my gentle sensibilities rocked or been appalled by random rap lines...not when I've been listening to stuff like Biggie adovocating child sodomy and murder in songs since I was a preteen

Lil Wayne’s blatant disrespect for the civil rights struggle and for Till’s incomprehensible suffering shows that he has very little reverence for history.

:stopitslime:

That's not exclusive to Lil Wayne....there's an ENTIRE GENERATION of young people like this, whether it's Black History, hip-hop history, sports history.....he's just amongst the most popular "representatives" of that generational mindset.

I had to quote this just because it was a very concise and true statement. Daps.
