Spring 2010, I'm 20 years old in the county jail, got into two fights with the same brother bout 30 minutes apart. First fight was on the rec area and we didn't get caught, second fight was in the dayroom and we got sent up for it...
Both fights he grabbed my locks but that second fight, he fukked me up. One point of the fight he had me leaned disproportionately across a table because of the grip he had on my hair, and the angle my neck was contorted. Dude was holding locks with his off hand and got many free licks with his strong hand. I took a pretty good ass whooping that second fight, nose leaking like a faucet, I think one of my eyes was blacked too, and I had a killer headache after it. Can't recall how many dreads I lost but a few were left on the block and when I got to the home and started touching my shyt, a few more just slid right off...
During the fight, I felt the grip of his hand on my shyt but the real pain was the awkward angle he had my head at, I couldn't get clean shots at him and my fukking neck hurt, and my face was wide open so I had to take at least 10 straight shots to the face. Only way I could try to protect myself was moving my body around and trying to slide my face, so they didn't all connect squarely but they were all in my face/head at that point of the fight because I couldn't get out this nikka grip...
Karma, cause I'd pulled a couple dudes dreads out in prison fights prior...
Having long hair isn't the wave in a fight. Boxers/MMA guys can get away with it because there's rules against grabbing hair. In a street fight, jail/prison fight, ain't no rules so if a brother can grab your shyt, he will...
