I've noticed this. People like Jimmy Johnson say he don't even belong in the league. The announcers during the Ravens game this week were shytting on Kaep the entire time despite him going for 340 yards, 2TDs and 0 int. I, along with most rational niner fans, are up front about Kaep. I don't think he's progressed nearly enough as he should have since the '12 season. He has some glaring holes in his game. He's probably not worth the money right now (though his contract isn't nearly as bad as it seems). Some of this is his fault no doubt. But take last season for example the team was in complete disarray and Harbaugh couldn't wait to leave. That's going to hinder development as well.

But let's look at the resume real quick.

2012: He replaces Alex Smith. He's 10-3 TD-INT ratio. He leads the league in yards per attempt. 98.3 QB rating. 5 rushing TDs. In the playoffs against GB he throws for 263 2-1 and rushes for 181 yards 2 TDs. Against the Falcons he leads them back from 17 down. In the Super Bowl he throws for 302 2-1 and rushes for a TD. Has a chance to win at the end. Crabtree can't make the play :mjpls:

2013: 21-8 TD-INT and 500 yards rushing 4 TDs. 91.6 QB rating. In the playoffs he doesn't play well in the NFC title game 1 TD and 2 INT but he rushes for 130 yards and gives them a chance to win. Crabtree can't make the play :mjpls:

2014: This is his "bad year" but even then his QB rating is 86.4 (not atrocious) and 19 TDs to 10 INT. For whatever the reason they decide he shouldn't be using his legs and only has one TD rushing. Crabtree does nothing all year :mjpls:

Now to this year. All of a sudden "he shouldn't be in the league" and "he's complete trash".. So where did it stem from??

Game log:
Week 1: 165 yards. Hyde has a huge game rushing against the Vikings. They win. Kaep isn't asked to do anything.

Week 2: 335 yards 2 TD - 0 INT. 50 yards rushing.

Week 3: 0 TD and 4 INT. "He should be out of the league" talk starts. Terrible game, no way to defend it.

Week 4: 0 TD and 1 INT. These talks continue. Again he didn't play well at all.

Week 5: 262 yards 2 TD - 0 INT.

Week 6: 340 yards 2 TD - 0 INT.

I'm not even a huge Kaep defender on here but you look at how Kirk Cousins is treated and others by their coaches and the media and they don't have NEARLY the resume as a QB that Kaep does.

Kirk Cousins should be out of the league.
Colin Kaepernick has about 6 weeks to prove he belongs in the league.

Washington (on paper) should be a very good team if they were healthy. Jordan Reed, DeSean Jackson, Alfred Morris and Matt Jones should be enough to give any defense problems.

San Francisco should blow that team up. Vernon Davis hasn't been consistently good in years. Torrey Smith is average at best. And Anquan Boldin is 35. You've basically got Carlos Hyde and some young defensive players.

See this is what I'm talkin bout. Matt Stafford has been a starter in this league for seven years now. This year he has 10 TDs and 9 INT and that's after he threw 4 TD in last week's game against Chicago. He's throwing to an all-time great WR. Yet, his QB rating this year resembles much of his career.

Does he belong? :mjpls: shyt, has Stafford ever even won a playoff game?

He's got the rest of the season to prove he does, too.

He's shown no progression since throwing for 5k yards a few years ago.

:beli: @ that bullshyt you tried to suggest.

What's fair is fair :manny:
I completely agree that black players don't get the leash or the benefit of the doubt that white players do.

But I didn't like the suggestion that somehow I give black players a short leash.

...at least that's what I thought you tried to suggest.
If not, I apologize.

Have it every occurred to you that the reason everyone is shytting on Kaep is because just a couple of seasons ago he was in the Superbowl, he was in the playoffs every season, he was duking it out with Seattle for control of the West, he was a legit threat. Now look at him he is :flabbynsick: he has regressed like hell. Kirk Cousin doesnt have the resume of Kaep so you comparing the two is just crazy.

Long story short Kaep is a fall from grace story and people love that shyt

That isn't remotely close to trash. More than a 2TD to 1 ratio is very good for NFL standards.

He had a horrific stretch earlier this year no doubt, but with the money we're paying him (cheap by the way compared to these 20 million dollar QBs, :kaep: only making 12 milli this year), we do have a steal in relative terms of paying QBs today. We can cut this nikka after every season with no repercussions.

But we already know Cousins got the complexion for the protection. :francis:

this isn't just about Cousins and how has Kaep regressed? He had two horrible games. I agree that he hasn't developed as much as I'd like but after two bad games I'm not going to be saying he's regressed especially considering he bounced back with two good games. :manny:
