It's been the media. Since the beginning. I listened to WEEI once and they were discussing Kaep and the cacs on there said "how can he focus on the game when he's getting all these tattoos?"

I don't expect that you watched the 49ers/Ravens game this past week but the announcers were shytting on Kaep the entire game and he actually played very well.

Also, I don't expect him to have a huge day against Seattle tomorrow. That's not what this thread is about. The niner offensive live is in trouble right now and against a team that can get a lot of pressure all bets are off. This is more about this idea that he all of a sudden "can't play" and shouldn't even be on a roster. Where does that come from? I gave y'all the quick history on him and this year was the first bad stretch of his career.

There are plenty of players who are hyped by their team. But to get into the limelight like Kaep did there's only one way and that's by commentators and "experts" talking about it on a constant basis.

I am a ravens fan, I was legitmely shocked at rich Gannon's constant hate on kap. Flacco was straight basura in the first half
And not a word of criticism from this fukk boi. No subtlety in their bias.

There was a third and short play where the Niners were in the Red Zone, Kaep pulled it down and ran for a first down. Gannon was bytching saying Kaep should have thrown to one of his receivers, even though they were well covered. I was like wtf is Gannon talking about, we got the first down. Niners also scored a TD in that drive(Pass to Boldin I believe). Also, Gannon was know to run for first downs in his hayday.

A few drives later for the Ravens, they were in the same situation. Ravens receivers were well covered, and Flacco ran for a couple yards. Gannon was like, "There was no one open, Flacco did the right thing.

As bad as Kaep has looked people forget what he's capable of. This is the dude who lead offenses that put up 45 point against the Packers, beat the Falcons on the road, and put up over 30 points in a close loss to the Ravens in that first SB run. Then the next year winning games in Green Bay and Carolina, and coming close to beating a great defense in a place where they rarely lose in the Seahawks. People want to act like he was some Jeff Hostetler type QB, but he was making big plays in those games. The thing is, the defense sucks now, the o-line sucks, and Vernon isn't what he was. As shytty as he's played, I want to wait and see if he could improve, and if Baalke can put together a better roster around him. Besides, what is the alternative?

Jaws is the only guy that hyped him. As for the other responses...giving him props after tea bagging a squad is different than the luck level hype. Even Tebow got accolades like that after beating Pittsburgh. There's a difference

If Jimmy Johnson really said that, than OP has a point. They protect the heck out of Kirk Cousins, Stafford, McCowns, while they're more blatant with their opinions on guys like Kap and Cam. Somebody post a YouTube link or something of an analyst saying a QB shouldn't be in the NFL. Jimmy Johnsons bluntness regarding Kap is strange to me, considering there are way worse QBs who are, *AHEM* White.....
