He played good defense, but he didn't "lock him down"

If Wall was a decent jump shooter he makes that shot 5/10 times. He just isn't

While it isn't lockdown, it's more than sufficient defense to ask from a 7'2 mother fukker against John Wall on the perimeter, surgery be damned.

Embiid looks nimble/smooth as fukk for his size when it comes to agile movements. No real stiffness. Could be very problematic for opponents.

Locking down? It appeared as if John got the shot off :francis:
I believe they was up by 20, then it was down to 8, then it was back up to 12 at half
2min into the 3rd quarter it was back up to 20, then about 3min after that they was up by 30+

Be 7'2 and have a little man coming off double knee surgery get a shot off brehs

You dont have to get a steal or block to lock someone down. Its not about them getting a shot off, if they can't get past you and they're forced to take a bad contested shot then you locked them down that possession. You play any ball?

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
@Malta how you feel bout this:patrice:
Both players at this point have severe tunnel vision

I'd keep Noel, look at what all these defensive bigs got on the open market, he's an insurance policy if Embiid gets hurt and he'd be a great first big off the bench. If Embiid is healthy having Jah is pretty much pointless.

:whoo:

he's 7'2 brehs, locking down all star guards on the perimeter :wtf:

It's literally one play, and if John Wall had ever decided to improve his jump shot over the last six years he's been playing, it would've been easy money for him to score there. No hate, just reality, this play is basically akin to the Kevin Love "shut down" Steph Curry shyt from Game 7.

Not saying it's not an impressive play, particularly for someone his size against someone with the speed of John Wall, but I think this play says a lot more about John Wall than it does Joel Embiid. But I know The Coli is really big on Embiid right now so I'll let y'all cook.
