i dont understand why its cool to bring up Z's past but when Trayvon's character is brought up (he very well may have been a violent, drug-abusing thief) then its all of a sudden "what does his character have to do with anything"?? bottom-line is that NONE of us knows what really happened. upstanding neighborhood watchman Z might have peacefully confronted thugged out, drugged out T and T may have attacked Z without even knowing Z had a weapon until it was too late or racist Z may have aggressively confronted innocent, Skittles- loving T and even called him a ****** to escalate the confrontation. NOBODY KNOWS. a 17 year old is dead. thug or not. thats all that matters. im black btw but i do find it funny how cats wanna make reports about T's character leanback cuz in my opinion it would play a huge factor on how the confrontation played out. jus my thoughts tho. im ready to be labeled a "c00n" now

Haven't read the thread yet but I made up my decision primarily from looking at the trial and realizing
1. there was no evidence that zimmerman threw the first punch
2. once the forensics showed that trayvon was on top of zimmerman, that sealed the deal for me.

Sorry I don't buy this "he was bashing his head into the ground" business. When I was younger someone pushed my head into my nieces head (funny enough sh was alright) while in retrospect I may have had a slight concussion, I had a migraine type feeling the rest of the day and was some what out of it. And then even consider nfl players being concussed after some hits for a couple days.

So I mean was gz absolutely putting up no fight at all? Doesn't make sense how he was not in the least in the hospital concussed etc etc

You ever see a UFC fight? How often do you see the guy on the bottom putting up a fight? I never see it. The guy on the bottom is usually always just defending himself especially if the guy on top is throwing blows like crazy.
