Not that "more complete artist" shyt and "who has easier lyrics for me to understand" shyt, or "who's cuter and more popular to the girls" shyt, but a RAPPER.

Reading someone try to defend why they think Drake is a better rapper than Kendrick Lamar would be Coli entertainment at it's finest. Drake is good, but that's blasphemous.

There's VERY few rappers ahead of Kendrick lyrically, and none of the aritsts being discussed in this topic have a case with the exception of Wale.

They are A/A+ lyricists who are only beneath the S class of the likes of Nas, Lupe Fiasco, Jay Electronica, etc...

nikkas like Cole and Drake are B-/B+ range. You can have your preferences for who you LIKE TO LISTEN TO more, but it's let get crazy.

You can make the claim that Kendrick is an even better musician than drake. The way he constructs hooks, manipulates his voice etc. You definitely can't make the claim that Drake is the better rapper though cause he simply isn't and a track like 'Rigamortis' proves that.

Rap fans want so bad for their favorite artists to "compete" and compare whose better, but since Nas and Jay squashed their "beef," rappers have been openly friendly with each other (outside of a few cases of 50 v everyone/Jeezy v Ross).


It's good to have a favorite of who you like better, but stop trying to force your opinion on others and pose it as fact and just enjoy the music. (Drake > Cole IMO)

I don't get why people can't just not fukk with artists they don't fukk with. I like all of those new cats and just want to hear good music. FNL is probably better than anything Drake has done (while we're here), but Drake is a better pure emcee than Cole from a technical standpoint. Better with wordplay and he's more witty and is more sound in his flows. Cole is arguably the better artist due to his subject matter though he exaggerates (all that walking through evil shyt on Let Nas Down ). But they all have their qualities.

Kendrick's verse on fukkin' Problem was horrific, as was the rest of the song. Worst verse of his career. Drake's verse on Poetic Justice fantastic, but I've never been absolutely blown away by something Drake has said on a song while Kendrick has done that multiple times on all his projects. I don't think Drake has a Sing For Me, The Heart part 2, Real, Rigamortis, etc in him
