Austin was good dating back to WCW circa 1994. You could see elements of stone cold in stunning Steve even then
Yeah Austin is probably the best to ever do it. He's definitely in the conversation.
Rock, Austin and Punk are probably in my top-3.

While he wasn't the technician of his mid 90's self. Austin was putting on really strong matches and classics in 01. Vs HHH, Rock, Angle.
A real underrated match from 96, was a Raw show w/ Austin vs Mankind.
Even in the War Games 92 match, you can see that Austin had something about him back then.

I didnt watch much of his wcw stuff but all of his matches in the wwf leading up to the pile driver
