 I'm finally watching this joint for the first time ever because of the movie "Maleficent" coming out this weekend. I can't believe I didn't watch this at least once growing up.

This don't seem like that original of a movie. It seems like it has elements from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", "Cinderella", & other classic animated Disney movies.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
I don't really watch a lot of the old Disney flicks. I appreciate and understand the importance and value that a lot of those films have but when movies like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Fantasia, etc. (great films, I might add) are re-released, they're not something where I go "First day cop. :myman:" Now, I don't think that way about all of the older Disney flicks, Some of the exceptions are Dumbo, Bambi, and 101 Dalmations, but for the most part I'm just like give me BATB, Aladdin, Lion King (and even the Great Mouse Detective and the Fox and the Hound) over the older Disney stuff. It may be a generational thing since I grew up with those films. Perhaps a second look into some of the older Disney flicks (Sleeping Beauty being one of them) are in order in the near future.

The animation and music was top notch

the story did seem too much like other movies they made at the time

The music in this scene had me shook as a kid:lupe:

that shyt looks better than all that toy story type look. They're both dope but i wish that old animation would make a comeback. I wish everything wasn't that cgi stuff.

THIS!!!!!!!! I wish Disney would leave the 3D CGI animation movies to Pixar & let Walt Disney Animation Studios movies to focus on traditional 2D animation.

:ohhh: Well, I ended up enjoying this movie. But the nostalgia I got from watching this classic Disney animated movie reminded me their are a bunch of classic Disney animated movies that I need to either watch for the 1st ever or Rewatch as an adult.

If I ever have kids, I'm definitely gonna buy a lot of these classic Disney animated movies from the 90's & eariler decades on Blu-ray.

Disney came out with a 2d non cgi movie in 2012 and it flopped. Forgot what it was called.

That reminds me I actually went back and watched the original Peter Pan and that shyt was kind of wild. Characters straight up pushing up on one another sexually they weren't trying to hide it or anything. Tinkerbell seemed like the real villain and traitor in it. She was trying to murder the girl Peter Pan liked in the movie on multiple occasions and even went to Captain Hook and snitched. shyt was way more serious then I expected.

Which movie are you talking about? I just looked up Walt Disney Animation Studios filmography on Wikipedia, the only movie they came out with in 2012 was "Wreck-It Ralph" & that was a 3D CGI movie.
maybe it was like 4 or 5 years ago. but it looked like cinderella, little mermaid, mulan type of movie. the lead character was black too i think

coli brehs help me out........im 100 percent positive it came out

Not The Princess and The Frog b/c it was a success.
Budget$105 million
Box office$267,045,765

The financial and critical success of The Princess and the Frog has persuaded Disney to green-light at least one new hand-drawn animated film to be released every two years.
