Watching Love Jones...

I forgot how good this shyt was I ain't tryna shyt on Tyler Perry but goddamn the difference in quality is so apparent when I go back and watch movies like this one, Soul Food, Love & Basketball, Higher Learning, The Wood, etc. Just grown and sexy (in The Wood, Love Jones' case) or has a message (Higher Learning)....no 6"5 men running around in dresses and wigs

Tyler perry is not stopping these movies from being made...

he actually has some decent movies that have nothing to do with madea

It's just different breh. I feel like movies like Love Jones are good respresentations of black culture. The whole Jazz/Poetry/Rennaissance vibe is I don't feel that way about any of Tyler Perry's movies. Straight c00n fests...and the ones that are tolerable still dont hold up to movies like Higher Learning, Dead Presidents or The Wood. It's disgusting that all his films do 30, 50 million at the box office while Love Jones barely did 12...
