The premise of the OP is true but its not just about transsexuals or homosexually. Its moreso about repressed desires in general. As human beings we have two branches of desire: the ones we know of and the ones we aren't necessarily conscious of.

The OPs friend has a latent desire to fukk with transwomen (which is why he mentioned that in particular, exposing himself) but for others it might be something else. After prolonged exposure to porn, you get bored of square porn and look for kink according to those latent desires you may not even knew you had. It can be something relatively harmless like trannies (which is harmless if you're not in any relationships or leading a double life) or it can be some horrible shyt like zoophila or pedophila.

I know its true because it happened to me.
