Are people really watching cacs reactions to slave movies now :what:

It puts things into perspective.

Generations grew up being taught curriculum developed by racist CAC. Why do you think there were so many confederate monuments built to honor racists who broke from the union.

They all need to see this shyt.

Shes reacting in the opposite way that people who produce black trauma porn are expected to react. The reason why so many films and TV shows about black suffering as opposed to black people fighting back are produced is to generate 3 effects:

1. By showing extreme cases of racism frequently, it makes white people feel like their every day racism isn't so bad and therefore doesn't count as 'real' racism. It allows them to both claim they're not racist whilst moving neighborhoods and schools when more than one black family shows up or voting for a republican.

2. It reminds them of when America was 'great' because 'those people' knew their place and were reminded every time they stepped out of line. It primes them to be okay with regressive policies that erode human rights to restore us to the days when segregation and slavery were legal.

3. By showing any black revolutionary ultimately being crushed at the end through assassination or imprisonment, or being saved by white person it reminds black people of what happens if they get any ideas and that their lives depends on the kindness of white people.

These kinds of films aren't for us. 12 years a slave was actually the last time I was ever willing to engage with slave content that didn't end with a violent uprising and victory for black people. Judas and the black messiah was the last movie I was willing to watch about a black revolutionary being put down. I was able to consider judas and the black messiah a good movie at least because of what happened to the c00n that infiltrated them. That ancestors haunted that nikkas spirit and ruined him and i liked that. Unless we win, im not watching. Even if it's just a small battle.

Those people don’t need to see movies to feel that way. A LOT of white people in this country were literally never exposed to the history of slavery at all. And with each passing generation it was simply erased.

Which is why a lot of white people shun the concept of institutional racism. They criticize BLM. They think racism doesn’t exist anymore because they have no concept of where it came from in the first place.
