I feel lucky my grandma was still very alert and active until she passed away (93 years old). Basically I couldn't really see any significant change after she hit like 75 years old, except just getting tired quicker. She did not survive long after the death of my moms tho :mjcry:

My grandfather is 90. This is my dude. I was his 1st born grandson and dude instilled the values of being a man in me. He was a drill Sargent in the segregated white mans army and got out early by ear hustling the company clerk dude who did all the paperwork, a white man. He forbid any of us from joining the military after what he saw and been thru, black man from NYC sent down to the south.

Dude became a driving instructor for the city and sold cars on the side and ran hustles with Italians back when you couldn't be seen in certain parts of BKN. He ran with a ill crew his best friend was the 1st dude to drop napalm at night in Vietnam. He flew and f4 phantom.

But man was he proud of me. He always told me how I was gonna carry the families last name and how to carry myself like a real G. My dude had a chair in his living room he wouldn't let any women sit in lol.

He bought me my 1st bike.....

Now he's in a rehab center shytting on himself waiting for people to feed and change him. He recognizes us but can't carry on a conversation, his mind is so confused all I can do is find humor in it.

Yo enjoy the good times you have with family they really the only ones that matter in the long run.

Also speak with your old heads about elder care and wills. shyt is real and needs to be discussed. SS isn't enough to live off of and you better have a retirement plan.
