It only ruins promos if guys aren't good enough to handle it. We've seen lots of experienced guys dead that shyt in it's track or work around it.

I enjoy the yes chant during matches cause it gets hype but you can't claim that haitch and steph are being no sold when you got these idiots thinking that what chant is still clever in damn near twenty fourteen

The 'Yes' chants are great when people are showing their support for Bryan and they're getting into a match. But people just like to chant stupid shyt too. Which is why 'What?' is still with us years later. The good talkers will change their cadence to get around it. Or shut them down like HBK did last night. Speaking of stupid shyt, I always get a laugh out of the crowd saying 'We The People' with The Real Americans right after Zeb cuts a promo shytting on them.

'Yes' is nowhere near (if at all) as bad as 'What'. Atleast 'Yes' is used to support Superstars and add excitement to the match. You don't hear it used to kill a promo during every gap between sentences. For all SCSA gave us, I hate him for this

To be fair, they usually chant "What" during segments that are starting to flop for whatever reason.

The problem is that since WWE gives little reason to care about heels (since they get foiled at every turn), this tends to happen during heel-centric segments which kills the story because bad guys are supposed to do all the work in building it.
