Giving each team the ball at the 25 yard line is not letting the game flow organically. Neither sport does this with their OT rules. Be serious.
But both teams get a possession- That's what the people want basically in a overtime. College gives it to them:manny:

The blowouts are usually a good team vs a semi-bad team.

The NFL isn't much different in this regard. In the NFL it might not be a 30-40 point blowout, but the games still out of question.

The NFL has way more parity than CFB. The NFL draft system is designed to make every team competitive; the CFB system is just a relic of a bygone era. Blowouts happen far more in CFB and the talent can be so sparse that the game isn't even worth watching. The level of overall college play is demonstratively worse and most of the guys playing will never reach the top level. It's the definition of bush league in several senses. There have been NFL busts that were exceptional in college. That goes to show you just how crappy a particular game might be when it comes to who's playing. The majority of Heisman winners never do anything in the NFL yet completely dominate the NCAA. Tebow is one example of just how lame the NCAA is. Tebow is not a NFL level talent yet somehow is considered one of the greatest QBs to ever play college football.

it'll be like 3 good nfl games tomorrow

Parity and competitiveness in the NFL is higher; the players are better in most every way; the schemes are more advanced in most every way. I remember Matt Barkley looked very good at USC. But in the NFL he's not even a backup. He throws picks all day because his arm is too weak. In CFB his arm strenth didn't matter much. I even remember some draftnicks saying he had a decent to strong arm because he can throw the deep ball:

The nature of CFB made it difficult to see that Barkley is in fact just another marginal weak-armed West Coast QB. So while Barkley was once Trojan superhero and Heisman candidate, now he's a soon-to-be street bum. That's why I can't watch CFB. It's more about pomp and fukkery than actual results:

I hate to see bench players acting like starters. I hate it. Alternatively, only in CFB would Cam Newton sit behind Tim Tebow. Eric Ebron, a TE, recently said the mental part of the NFL is mind-boggling. In CFB Ebron didn't have to worry about any complexities. He was as good as his QB allowed him. In the NFL he has to sit and learn.

Damn breh..did college football rape your wife or some sh*t:scust: You out for blood!

The NFL is corporate football. Now I do hate the NCAA committee but the NFL is only out for that dollar! They're losing their passion. And yes we know alot of these players aren't good but the product is packaged so tight in college. The bands, the crows, the cheerleaders, the fight songs, the rankings, the underdogs, the big boys, the upsets with students rushing the fields, etc..:to:

How long you wanna go at this:sas1:

college football and pro football are both good leagues..people should learn to enjoy their weekend watching both instead of debating on which one is better :smugdraper:

ncaa is just as corporate. the atmosphere is great, but its not made by the NCAA, but by the fans. the whole bowl system, scheduling, money, is just as shady as the NFL shyt.

Guess what? Players in the NCAA play for the dollar at the end of the day. They all sign up for a chance to get drafted to play football. I want to see the best players play, not quibble about whether someone is playing for money or sex or whatever. Nobody knows individual players and their ultimate motivations. If NCAA players truly play for the love of the sport and that motivation even matters, then why is the quality of play lower than the NFL's? And if the quality of play is lower regardless, why should anyone watch CFB? You imply that NFL players don't play for the love of the game, but many have said they do, and we know NFL players go hard every game. They variously play for the love of the game, money, fame, career, etc--the same as NCAA players.

I watch Hard Knocks and NFL prospects put their heart and soul into prepping for the game. If they aren't ready and fail to produce, they get benched and cut. Their dream comes to an end. They go back to whatever boring, dangerous or understated hell they sprouted from. Most players sacrifice their health and lives to play in the NFL. Geno Smith has cried more than three times these past 2 years trying to produce for the Jets. In interviews he has said his dream was to play in the NFL and that implied that NFL players mostly share the same dream and that it was a given that they work hard.

NFL football in the entertainment department pales in comparison to CFB. The traditions, the rivalry, the passion, the chaos is why I prefer CFB
if you said the same thing about college hoops this board would shyt all over you for it

I have little interest in seeing bums like Barkley, McCarron (forthcoming), RG3 and Manziel (forthcoming) get put on pedestals because they're playing marginal talent in system that doesn't work against football's top talent. It's like watching an average Halo player dominate a poor Halo player. When that average Halo player faces a great Halo player, he gets exposed. This "tradition" is something I can do without. I only watch NCAA games between big teams and that's to scout talent, not because there's anything redeemable in bush league pomp-and-celebration bullshyt. I also don't support indentured slavery bullshyt.

you scout talent, yet only watch "big teams"? so youre missing the bulk of the talent? lol @ saying you have little interest in seeing players get put on non deserved pedestals yet you "only watch ncaa games between the big teams." thats like saying "i dont like watching mediocre nfl teams hog all the spotlight" then saying "i only watch nfc east football"
