The NFL moreso resembles plodding old school Big 10 football than anything else. 3 yards and a cloud of dust.
Actually, over the past five NFL seasons only four teams have run more than 500 rushing plays a year....this is clearly a passing league now, evidenced by QBs routinely throwing for 4,000+ yards every season now (and QBs throwing for 5000+ yards for three straight years).
That's arguably also why RBs are considered expendable and don't go high in the draft anymore. It'll be interesting to see where Gurley goes in next year's draft.

It's one thing to FAVOR one over the other, but if you truly love football then you don't even consider trying to SELL one over the other
